Website Re-Design
inPrint Collective
Toronto’s premier printmaking collective had outgrown its website. Years of layered custom code left the site unstable and nearly impossible to maintain. The only workable solution had been stripping it back to plain black text on a white background. It was functional, but far from capturing the energy of a vibrant, hands-on studio. More importantly, it wasn’t encouraging visitors to register for workshops.
The goal was clear: create a website that reflected the creativity of the collective while making it easy for the public to understand what they offer and confidently book classes.
I redesigned the site around clarity and participation. The structure prioritizes workshops first — what they are, who they’re for, and how to join — while still showcasing the studio as a working artist space. A bold but approachable visual system brings personality back into the brand without sacrificing usability.
Because the collective frequently updates programming, the backend was built with flexible, easy-to-edit layouts. Staff can now add workshops, update schedules, and post announcements without needing technical support.
Since launch, the new site has helped support the collective’s growth, including securing a significant government arts grant, demonstrating a stronger public presence and clearer communication of their impact.
